Cycle path : The canal des deux mers - 10 mins from the hotel by bike

One of the best ways to visit France is on your bicycle. The famous Canal des 2 Mers cycle path that links the Atlantic to the Mediterranean runs along the canal de Garonne just 10 mins from the hotel.

Stop over at the Hotel du Lac we have a bike garage 

Since 2016, this new bicycle itinerary links the Atlantic beaches to the Mediterranean shores; from Royan to Sète. The route is almost 800 km of cycle path some of which runs along the Canal de Garonne and the Canal du Midi. The Hotel du Lac is the perfect place to take a break from peddling, to rest and restore. Your bike will be safe over night, all snug in our free and secure bike garage.

• the canal of the Garonne runs along the Garonne river for 193 km and is punctuated with 53 locks
• the famous Agen bridge-canal, France’s second-longest canal-bridge with four locks and 23 stone arches.
